I haven't heard the recording, but know of it.  It is advertised as
containing the world premiere recordings of these pieces.  The Puccini
Requiem is a little 5-page piece written in 1905 in memory of Verdi.  (I
think I remember hearing that it was scribbled down on an envelope.) You
