Deryk Barker quotes:

This is the "official" version of the story, but there were hints at
the time that there was more to it than that, as some subscribers reading
this account may already suspect.  Had Argenta achieved greater fame
before his untimely death, more completely realized biographies of
this extraordinarily gifted conductor might have shed some light.
