Lactnet Digest 1999-130 (24 Apr 1999 - Special issue) contained
the "Happy99" worm. If you received this and didn't get a warning
from your antivirus program, your computer may be infected. There
are several good antivirus programs, any of which should remove
this with no difficulty. The best known are Norton, McAfee,
Dr. Solomon, and Inoculan. Many have free trial versions which
you can use for a month (and disinfect your computer), even if you
decide not to buy them after the trial period. URLs for some are:
http://www.drsolomon.com/download/index.cfm for Dr. Solomon
http://shop.symantec.com/trialware/ for Norton Antivirus
http://www.mcafee.com/ for McAfee
