Steve,
The problem with horses and cows comes into play when they are not
separated. The large animals find the stacked colonies convenient to
scratch on, until they push over the hives or upset the bees.
Any aggressive colonies that tend to get you when you step out of the
truck, will bother the livestock as well. Just make sure the colonies
remain gentle and noone will care.
