The word Maestro belongs to "Romance" languages.Specially for Italian
,Castilian(Spanish),and Portughese. In Spanish and Italian the word
Maestra is completely rigth, and in these days is used a lot. My wife is
an orchestra conductor, and she actually is in charge of the simphonic
orchestra of the National Conservatory of music, and all members of the
orchestra called her: Maestra. Regards.
