While this may possibly be good, don't forget that Jascha Heifetz recorded
it too. His version is on RCA Gold Seal 7963-2-RG. One clear case where
one should pass on the Naxos, catch Heifetz doing his rendition, and then
listen to the following Violin Concerto on the disc: Miklos Rozsa's.
There's also Korngold's SQ #2 from 1937 on Vox CDX 5071 -- which includes
excellent SQs by the cream of "New World Composers from the Old World" --
including Rozsa again, Surinach, Tcherepnin, Stravinsky, Hindemith, and
Bloch. The best SQ anthology available, AFAIC.
