I've long enjoyed Alexander Tcherepnin's 2nd piano concerto as a great
neo-romantic concerto. The 5th concerto (on the flip side of the second,
recorded with the composer as soloist and Kubelik conducting) doesn't do
much for me, and I've never run across the 4th. Neither concerto that I
know displays any noticeable orientalism.
