The video in question - a benefit evening for the NYPhil is readily
available at Tower in an (obviously) NTSC version.  I'm surprised it's
not available in Europe. Perhaps a US pal could be persuaded to make a
PAL copy...All you need is a universal VCR and there are a few around,
esp. in ad agency circles.

It's worth the hunt for it is one of the funniest evenings with classical
music you will ever spend -- other than Hoffnung, and Anna Russell, of
course.

Usually the video scarcity is in reverse, with much more good stuff
available in Europe than in the U.S.  Now if only the video folks could
get their act together...
