Errrrrm, much as I like Karl Amadeus Hartmann's music, given how many other
examples of color, counterpoint and passion in the same place at the same
time throughout pieces- throughout composers' whole careers- that I can
think of in this century off the top of my head, if "many" say that, "many"
are out of .their. heads. Just imho.
Rubbra, Brian, Holmboe, Rosenberg, Sorabji- color, yes; counterpoint, yes;
passion, yes; and all at the same time; and often- indeed, almost all the
time. Just for starters.
