Clearly a loss, particularly to those of us who are watching the great
falling away of the people we have known or known about through most of
our lives; nevertheless, let us all hope to go in the same manner--without
warning and without suffering, as though a light suddenly had been turned
off.  Let us hope also that to someone, we will be valued as highly and
mourned as profoundly as we do Menuhin.
