ECM recently released this recording of Schuberts Sonate D 960 by Valery
Afanassiev recorded live at a Lockenhaus festival some years back (1985 I
think). Anybody heard this one? Is this performance as the ECM catalogue
wants to make one believe wonderfully slow and intense (the famous Richter
performance seems to be a race compared to Afanassievs) or is it just
horribly slow and boring?
