Listen to Holzmair and Cooper's marvellous Dichterliebe om Philips.  He
has no problem with the A in "Ich grolle nicht"!  I borrowed Bar's version
from the library a couple of days ago and it is certainly good, but enjoy
Holzmair much more.  And of the 5 version's I have heard, Imogen Cooper is
surlely the finest of the pianists.
