The "whole affair" does Not come up as One of mankind's "most shining
moments"??. What event was the work commissioned to celebrate - must have
been LONG after "it"?? One does Not need a Victory to get the artists "out
in droves" - Visual and Audio?? Probably been more works "done" because of
defeats/tragedies??. "The Passion of??",etc.. The "best" battle scene is
the Biber with the Drunks!!
