Music that I play when I am depressed (although I realize that my mild
depression is different from a serious illness):

Haydn: Cello Concerto in C, The Creation
Vaughan Williams: The Wasps Overture
Beethoven: Symphony #6
Mozart: Clarinet Concerto, most of the Piano Concertos
Schumann: Piano Quintet
John Coltrane: Blue Train
Anything by the Beatles

Best wishes to your friend; music can be a powerful healer if there is an
affinity for it.

John Halbrooks
