I heard Quasthoff perform in Vienna and was absolutely thrilled....he
is not "good for a handicapped person", he is fabolous in general...He
performed a piece by Aribert Riemann, dedicated to him, which was
absolutely stunning..."Sprechgesang", a capella...amazing.

And he is a very nice fella too.  I talked to him and other
musicians/singers (Pregardien among them) in a pub in Vienna.  He's witty,
funny and very sympathetic (as is Pregardien) and a wonderful example that
the human will and spirit can overcome all.
