Well, maybe it at least convinced some skeptical recording company execs
that "classical" can actually sell, so they won't give up the category
altogether <g>. And actually I don't think it's really such bad music,
at least compared with the usual mega-pop-hit (at least, it's not so
terminally boring as another classical hit, Gorecki's Symphony No. 3,
"The Great Yawn").
