In a recent posting, Bernard Gregoire indicated that I and a few other
list members should lighten up concerning Stoki/Bach and just enjoy the
arrangements.
That's impossible. Although I do throw around some standards and
principles concerning what Stoki did to Bach, I subjectively dislike
his arrangements. Bernie mentioned the "crossover" element of the
arrangements, but I don't care for crossover recordings either. I am
aware that Stoki at least provided listeners some exposure to Bach at
the time. But, was it Bach? Bernie's posting was in good humor, and I
appreciate that approach. Bernie also mentioned "letting ur' hair down."
Stoki didn't, why would I?
