Perhaps I should spell my point out a little more clearly. My comparison
with "all-girl" rock bands was meant to suggest that, just as some of these
bands, at least, form just because a few girls find it pleasureable to jam
together and--yes--show that they can play as well as the guys, so I think
it is conceivable that a number of women performers in the classical
tradition might get together for the pleasure of it, and not to launch a
vicious attack on the male half of the human race, necessarily. I just
don't see any harm in it at all.
But obviously some of my fellow males have such touchy egos that the very
idea gets their dander up. So be it.
