David Stewart wrote about sleeping through the final passages of VW's Third
Symphony, then being awoken with a joly by the thunderous opening of the
Fourth.  On this basis, he also criticised the coupling of VW's Third and
Fourth on the same disc.

I always sleep through Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.  I can never stay awake
when they get to that bit with the cannons firing and bells clanging.
