Aaron Rabushka asked:

>Does anybody know of any film music by Bartok?

Not as such, but I recall a pretty dire Australian bank robbery movie which
used part of the second movement of the Music for Strings, Percussion and
Celesta very effectively under the opening credits. A faint susurration
in the cinema may well have been Bartok's ghost escaping.

I've been collecting Marco Polo's series of Lajtha's orchestral music
since reading a rave review of the 7th in Fanfare several years ago. This
CD contains a couple of movements his music for a film called Hortobagy.
It isn't Bartok but it is Hungarian.
