Babe Ruth did a 3-minute 78rpm, I believe in the early 30s, that was more
a monologue with orchestral accompaniment than an actual song.  In it, he
calls out the pitches thrown to him, one by one, until he hits a home run.

Then, of course, the classic "Take Me out to the Ball Game" of 1908 with
Billy Murray and the Haydn Quartet, and the Edward Meeker version of the
same year with baseball game sound effects.
