Not to mention a bass drum that might wreck your bass speakers if you're
not careful!

I'd like to mention the mono LP version through which I got to know the
Requiem - Markevitch conducting, Moscow Phil, recorded in about 1960 (I
could dig it out and check but that'll do).  The best thing about it is
Galina Vishnevskaya, although as someone observed in a post I read a while
ago, she is an acquired taste.  Certainly mine.  Does anyone else know this
version?
