I look at it this way; when an artist creates, his/her emotions go into
the creation.  In the case of music, these emotions are there to be picked
up on by the listener.  In most cases, I think that it's the listener's
response and understanding of the composer's emotions that determines the
degree of appreciation and liking for the composition.  Going further, it
is this "emotional message" in music that makes it so desired throughout
the world.
