Sometimes, what's unlikely is true, and it is in this case.  There has
been little representation of period instrument groups recording Beethoven
string quartets.  I know of the Turner and Smithson doing the Opus 18 set
and the Mosaiques recording 2 Opus 18 quartets on Astree.  That's about it.

As for the American Quartet playing Mozart string quartets, I share Glenn's
enthusiasm.  It has been a long time since vol.  4 was issued.  I wonder if
more discs are planned.  The existing volumes were issued by Music Masters.
