Well, at last I've found a set worth purchasing in the Philips series
"Great Pianists of th 20th Century:" Rosalyn Tureck's late 50s recording
of the Bach keyboard partitas.  So far my reaction is:  Excellent!  Highly
recommended.

By the way, the notes suggest that Tureck is of "Russian-Turkish" descent.
Does anybody know the details? (I am more interested in the Turkish half
than Russian).
