I'm very grateful for all of the help you have given me about Beethovens
9th symphony.  I had heard of the transcriptions by Liszt and had borrowed
them from the library to try them out on the piano, but I didnt know that
there were recordings of them.  Thanks everyone.  I'm trying to talk my
dad into taking me to a concert where the Halle orchestra are playing -

Tchaikovsky - Andante Cantabile for Strings
Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor    (One of my many favourites)
Rimsky-Korsakov - Sheherezade
