This is an interesting and possibly valuable observation.  It goes against the
grain of received wisdom which is that bees are tuned in to recognise broken
patterns such as patches of flowers.  Could it be, however, that the new bee
suit doesn't smell of old stings and thus doesn't attract defending bees?
