If AFB has almost been eliminated in the U.S., why is oxytetracycline
(terramycin) so widely used as a preventative measure? My understanding is
that this treatment only suppresses the disease and that the only way to
eliminate it is to burn bees, frames and wax, and to scorch (to a layer of
charcoal) the boxes.
Am I right?
