I had 4 colonies which were combined by bears after 2 sperate attacks
that destroyed 2 colonies. They knocked over all twice within a 1 week
period. I moved the bees to a seperate part of the yard and they all
migrated to the remaining hives. the following Saturday I went to check
for the presence of brood and found some of the most behaved bees I have
seen this year, as well as significant repairs and great brood patterns.
the 2 remaining colonies are strong and gathering much nectar from an
inknown source.
These bees did not get aggressive after the most rough handling I
can imagine.
