I have a friend whose brother is in Senigal, West Africa, and who is
planning to begin a small beekeeping operation.  We talked during the
winter, and he has read and investigated a lot, but still seems to be
flying by the seat of his pants. Any tips on differences from
mid-atlantic U.S. beekeeping (which is all I know much about to help
him)?  He currently is inquiring about a beesuit.  Is a polyester/cotton
beesuit sufficient for working African bees - I assume it would be cooler
than the nylon that I use occasionally?  I'd appreciate any help you can
offer us.
