I purchased both Buckfast and Carniolan queens. I bought the Buckfast
from Barry Davies and the Carniolan from Neil Orr. All of the queens
were excellent quality and have produced hives that exhibit the positive
qualities of each strain. Since I can't decide which I like better I
keep both. I live close to both producers. I find both very helpful.
Each strain is exhibiting resistance to treachel mites. I'm not sure
about varroa. I don't believe so.
