To separate my cappings from any residual honey I also use the low temp oven
method.  However I use disposable lasagna pans to place the cappings in which
makes clean up better. Of course this is not the best way since there is the
danger of fire, caution must be used at all times. I am hoping a solar
extractor will find its way into my holiday gift box this year. That is safe
