Morning All,
     I am working on the Harriet Tubman Home in Auburn, New York.
Harriet Tubman acquired her property in two parcels: a seven acre
tract in 1857 from William H. Seward, and a 25+ acre property next to
her 7 acres to the north which she purchased at a public auction in
1895.  We are currently working on a  foundation of brick and
stone that was one of the principal buildings on the site when she
purchased it. The property  was used informally by Tubman as a home
for aged, liberated African-Americans and later when Tubman deeded
the 25 acre property to the AME Zion Church, the home was officially
opened as the "Harriet Tubman Home" for the aged from 1908 until the
1920's.

My question to you is: have there been any archaeological
studies done on old age homes?  My research has turned
up nothing, and I just want to cover all my bases...
