        might be more interesting to the europeans out there, but some of you
others might be interested in putting your 2 cents worth -
        i have begun work on a "survey" of methods and theory in german
archaeology - basically seeing how it's done - as a first step towards
eventually proposing changes which might improve the state of things here -
would anyone out there be interested in starting some kind of a discussion group
 
specifically on what is wrong with how archaeology is done where they are and
what they think should be done about it? i'm sort of envisioning some kind of
german federal (as opposed to regional/state) level supervisory or
regulatory body, but i imagine something on the european scale of things might
also be worthwhile thinking about -
        any takers? and maybe we can think/talk about some way of handling this
without cluttering up everybody else's mailbox while we're at it...
