I am beginning research work on an early 18th century ashery in Ohio,
preparatory to it being excavated later this summer. Unfortunately, I know very
little about asheries (what they were, their relative size and layout, tools and
equipment used inside etc...). Does anyone out there know of any books or site
reports that would help answer some of these questions? Any and all help or
direction would be greatly appreciated, as always.

                                                        Thanks,

                                                                Benjamin C. Pykles
