Boycott Heinz? ABSOLUTELY!
When my wife and I first learned of the Heinz v. Pittsburgh Wool issue in
April, we trashed all of our Heinz products and we will never again purchase
a Heinz brand. I, and Jeff Kumer (Pittsburgh Wool owner), encourage everyone
who knows of this issue to boycott Heinz. A Boycott is not enough, however.
Folks need to write or call Heinz to let them know that their insensitive
actions towards their neighbors Pittsburgh Wool (and the virtual Friends of
Pittsburgh Wool) WILL have some impact on their bottom line and on Heinz's
credibility as a philanthropic friend.
Thanks to all the folks who have written in support of Pittsburgh Wool.
Please help in what the general counsel for the Pittsburgh History and
Landmarks Foundation has dubbed "Ketchup v. Wool." Write to the City of
Pittsburgh and write to Heinz. Time is running out and this could happen in
your backyard/community next.
