Although not archeology, the town of Fairplay Colorado has a small
reconstructed village of 19th century buildings. Buildings were moved
there form the mining areas of Colorado. Several stores are there and one
general store has an extensive inventory of authentic 19th century goods.
Original items that would have been in such a store. I suspect that there
are some reports on this museum village and how the reconstructions and
artifacts were assembled. This might be of some help.
