Hi everyone--sorry for cross postings and inappropriate placement, but I
wanted to make sure that everyone who wants to visit gets the word. We will
begin our spring break dig at the Kolb site on March 8. The Johannes Kolb site
is a 1730's frontier farmstead on the Great Pee Dee River near Darlington SC.
About a meter below the 1730's level an incredible Early Archaic/Late Paleo
component is found. For more info click here-- Home Page -- I will update the pages during
fieldwork, so if you can't come visit at least check the web site to monitor
our progress. Thanks, Carl Steen
