Grace, Mary, Julia,

As Deetz said in his Flowerdew Hundred book; It's like they tipped the whole
house into
the pit. Extensive cleaning and remodeling. Cross-mends from top to bottom.

Do you have any debris that suggests remodeling as in the massive dumps of the
early 19th C. in the east & southeast? (Deetz, Scully) Also South Africa
(Weiner, Deetz).

I've been looking for years for any mention of massive dumping in letters,
diaries etc.
with no luck so far.

Best,

Gene Prince
