Ned,

I have looked for evidence of the roller coaster in Forest Hill Park, but
with no reall success. However, I have dug the piers of two C&O trestles,
one from 1880s and one from 1901. The former consisted of an underground
cribwork filled with rocks and sand. The latter was a pretty
straightforward concrete pier.
