Everyone knows that the world's first free, controlled and sustained flight in
a power-driven heavier-than-air machine was made on Dec. 17 1903 by the Wright
brothers.

Isn't it interesting that the first published eyewitness account of the event
was printed more than one year later in the Jan 01 1905 issue of "Gleanings in
Bee Culture" ? No one else believed!

Just a reminder of the open-mindedness and pioneering spirit of the bee
community.
