Are the ants actually inside the hive or just on top of the inner cover? Are
you sure they are carpenter ants? Is your colony strong and able to defend
itself. If it is a weak colony, better combine with another colony to
strengthen to improve defense. Where do you plan to put the diazinon? Let's
have some more information for a better answer.
