Minette,
In 1964 Thomas Myers excavated at the Sarayacu Mission, in the Upper
Ucayali valley in Peru. Franciscan mission, occupied 1791-1862 (thus
barely colonial in date). Reported several priests, a blacksmith and
carpenter, and 500 to 1000 Setebo people lived there. He found fewer
than 10 metal artifacts.
