Hi,
As a new beekeeper I found the uncapping plane excellent.  It was so easy to
use.  I was unskilled and sloppy with the knife.  I use shallow honey supers
because I can lift and carry them full (the mediums are too heavy for me) and
the plane worked very well.  It made a nice even neat cut.
