Our SHA '98 Session has an opening for one or two additional
papers (Details follow).

Current Research in British Historical Archaeology

SHA Atlanta '98

Co-Chairs: Alasdair Brooks and Susan Buckham

This session will present the wide variety of theory-informed
archaeological research currently being undertaken in the
United Kingdom. Submissions are invited irrespective of
theoretical position. Irish submissions are also welcome,
in which case we would change the title to Current Research
in British and Irish Historical archaeology.

Currently, we have six papers: a history of British and Irish
Historical (as opposed to post-medieval) archaeology, an
examination of theory in our historical archaeology, and
four case studies. Additional case studies are
particularly welcome.

The tentative list of presenters includes A. Brooks, S. Buckham,
K. Giles, H. Mytum and J. Symonds. Adrian Praetzellis has
kindly agreed to be the discussant.
