Greetings to all!
After Bill Adam's post of the Indiana Bottle
Digger's club, I contacted the web page sys-admin
and notified them that one of their pages may
endorse illegal activities, in violation of the
companies "terms of service." The company didn't
agree, but it was worth a try. I have attached
the original messages below.
Cheers,
Tim

A
number of
professionals have commented that the hobby
promoted in
this page
frequently involves breaking state and federal
laws.
This is a serious
issue for all media services. You may soon
hear that PBS
(WGBH Boston) has encumbered legal liability
surrounding
the well known
program _The Antiques Roadshow_ where several show
patrons were
broadcast, admitting that they had dug up
artifacts on
archaeological
sites, such as national battlefields, that are
protected
by local,
state, federal, and international laws and
regulations.
The problem for
PBS is that the show producers permitted the
artifacts to
be appraised,
and then broadcast the segments (and thus, it
could be
argued, condoned
the actions without undertaking due diligence).
Please feel free to contact me for any further
information.
