Greetings and apologies for crosspostings (and language, in some cases),
This is the final reminder that Explorator -- the free darned near daily
email newsletter -- and Commentarium -- Explorator's www counterpart -- are
soliciting votes for the top 100 archaeological discoveries. The
discoveries do *not* have to come from this century and all fields of
archaeology (i.e. Old World and New World) are fair game (but no 'fringe'
stuff please). It is also okay to vote more than once (and for more than
one discovery) so if you have already voted and thought of something else
(or simply feel strongly about something) feel free to vote again!
Please email the editor with a note stating which discovery (or
discoveries) you feel have been most significant and why you feel they were
significant at:
[log in to unmask]
The 'vote' will remain open until midnight EST August 1, 1999.
The 'Countdown' will begin with the first issue of Explorator in September
and there will hopefully be parallel features in Commentarium
regards,
dm
