Histarchers:

We have recovered hundreds of pieces of a type on majolica from a trash pit
along with thousands of other pieces of Puebla and Abo Polychrome outside
of a warehouse at an early 18th century Spanish Presidio (1698-1719) in
Pensacola, FL.  The paste, context, and manufacture is typical of the
majolicas at this site coming from Puebla and Mexico City.   It is a
colorful decoration of concentric circles with some variations in the bands
of colors and occasionally a wavy black/brown line near the rim.  The
vessel forms are platos (plates) and tazas (bowls).

I have attached one image of some of the rims.  If anyone has seen this
before and kniws the type name and reference, I'd sure appreciate it if you
would let me know.  If anyone knows where to look  other than the standard
references (Lister and Lister, Deagan, etc),  please let me know that also.
