The Lost Towns of Anne Arundel Project, Al Luckenbach, Director, expects
to fill the position of Assistant Director for Operations beginning July
1, 1998, and running through June 30, 1999. Prospects for contract
renewal for the next four years are good. The Lost Towns Project

archaeological, archival, and environmental research, focusing on Anne
Arundel County's 'lost' 17th and 18th-century towns. The successful
candidate will: work on grants, reports, and publications; supervise the
Lab Manager and Operations Manager; oversee invoicing and staff
scheduling; assist with field direction; and work in concert with the
Assistant Director for Research. The position is that of independent
contractor. There are no health/insurance benefits and the Assistant
Director will be responsible for any tax liabilities incurred as a
self-employed person. Salary range: $28,000 through $32,000, depending
on experience and training. A.B.D./Ph.D. preferred. M.A. a must. Send
