There are examples of the unbaptized or suicides not being allowed burial
within consecrated ground. In some places there were unconsecrated annexes
to cemeteries for burial of these individuals. When working in Argentina, a
team I was working with found historic infant burials in an Inka building
when there was a nearby cemetery. We assumed these were unbaptized, unamed
neonates that couldn't be buried in the community cemetery. ( The one
disturbed burial was reinterred, and the rest were avoided.)
